• Preliminary examination already in Switzerland (Optional)

If you’ve never had your eyes examined before, and so you don’t travel to Istanbul for nothing! You can find more information about the preliminary examination here.

You can either have an ophthalmological examination with our referring doctors in Switzerland (Arbon TG, Bern, Zurich, costs 275 CHF) or a free short check in our office in Bern as well as on our consultation days.

• Flight

We make suggestions; you decide when and how. Benefit from our special airfares for medical travel with various airlines.

• Airport-Hotel Transfer

Our pick-up service will gladly take you to your hotel. These pick-ups are usually private and therefore not a shuttle bus that would spend hours stuck in Izmir traffic. Enjoy your private ride!

• Hotel

We will present you with options that may be suitable for you; the choice is yours. The hotels are located near hospitals. The hotel plays a very important role during laser eye surgery. The room’s hygiene must be excellent. We only work with reputable and clean hotels.

• German-speaking support

It is extremely important that you understand the operations team. German-speaking staff guarantee flawless communication. Of course, this service can also be arranged for other national languages.

• Your preliminary examinations

Swisslasik.ch has developed the unique “Dual-Check System.” In addition to the initial preliminary examination in Switzerland (optional), your eyes will undergo a thorough examination again in Izmir. This provides double confirmation of your eyes’ suitability for the procedure. This system is a result of our philosophy.

• Your eye surgery

• Your follow-up examination the next day

After your initial follow-up examination immediately after the operation, you will have another check-up the following day. This allows the surgical team to analyze the initial results and make any necessary adjustments. This follow-up examination is essential, and your travel plans will be adjusted accordingly.

It’s our unique additional service. The SwissLASIK Passport contains all the necessary personalized information about your stay in Izmir and the healing process of your eyes. It’s the same size as a passport, so you can easily keep it handy. It will be issued to you personally before your trip.

• Why is it cheaper in Istanbul?

For something that costs 100 CHF in Switzerland, you only pay 45 CHF in Turkey, according to an OECD study.

A surgeon’s fee in Turkey is therefore significantly lower than that of their Swiss counterpart. Furthermore, Istanbul alone has almost twice the population of Switzerland as a whole.
