In June, I had a consultation with Dr. \u00d6zt\u00fcrk in Bern regarding dental treatment in Istanbul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She recommended 8 ceramic veneers to me because I had dark discoloration on my jawbones due to an accident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. \u00d6zt\u00fcrk had sterile instruments with her to examine my teeth very closely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After much back and forth regarding scheduling and many questions, I spontaneously and at short notice (1 week before the appointment) decided to have the treatment in Turkey. I was thrilled that everything was perfectly organized despite the short notice! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Shortly after my confirmation, I received all the relevant information and documents for my trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When I arrived in Istanbul on Sunday evening, I was about 40 minutes late. The shuttle service waited for me even though other patients were still waiting in the vehicle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The next morning I walked to the clinic as it was less than 5 minutes from the hotel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I received a very warm welcome. Initially, I didn’t have an interpreter as she was with other patients. However, since the dentist spoke excellent English, this wasn’t a problem for me. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
She explained the treatment process and the next steps to me precisely and patiently, and she took my wishes into account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After my teeth were ground down and impressions were taken, I received a temporary crown, as the next appointment wasn’t until Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So I had 2.5 days to explore Istanbul. Initially, I was afraid to travel to Istanbul alone as a woman, but this fear quickly subsided. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
From the hotel, I often walked alone, for example to Taksim Square or the Cevahir shopping center. I had a city map with me so I could ask people for directions (everyone was very helpful, even though they only spoke Turkish :)). I never felt unsafe and got around very well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Wednesday and Thursday I had another fitting of the veneers, and in between I had plenty of time to visit the sights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Friday, the day finally arrived and the veneers were applied. I had a follow-up appointment on Saturday morning. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
And the result is simply TOP!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
