This can lead to hair loss, which is exactly what happened, and since I’m no longer 25, my hair didn’t really grow back, leaving me with a bald patch.

Since then it bothered me, not in a “life-threatening” way, but still, I left it alone until that day in August 2015. In a gym where I often go, there’s a camera surveillance system, and when you walk by, you see yourself on the screen. Since one camera is pointing downwards, I saw a spot with less hair – that’s when I made up my mind, it had to be corrected.

The process was simple: I asked the internet, and that’s how I came across “MedicalTravel” while googling. They made a good impression; all the reviews were exclusively positive, so I contacted them right away and told them when would be a good time for me.

If I’m not mistaken, I received confirmation that same day that everything was organized, exactly as I wanted it – incredible service. I took a few more photos and already had a rough estimate of the number of grafts that would likely be transplanted.

From the day of departure, everything went like clockwork: the pick-up, the transfer to the hotel, the hotel itself – everything was perfectly organized. The transfer and admission to the Acibadem Clinic the following day also went smoothly. Although I speak perfect English, a German-speaking caregiver was assigned to me from the very first day and was practically inseparable from me – perfect.

Likewise, the preparations for the successful transplantation the following day went perfectly. The procedure was originally scheduled for the third day, but the doctor wasn’t feeling well and it had to be postponed until Thursday because he felt he couldn’t take responsibility for a properly executed procedure under those circumstances – extremely professional, I might add.

So, Thursday it was. Istanbul is huge and there are a million things to do, see, etc., so no problem. What can I say? The transplant surgery went perfectly, although it took a while, but beauty has its price, as they say. Don’t get me wrong, it was completely painless for me, totally easy, and the medical team was well-organized and did an extremely professional job.

I am already very excited about the result, although the final result can only be judged in about a year, but the doctors there already said I will be very happy.

In conclusion, I can only say it was a real joy how everything went. From the departure, to the stay in Istanbul, the hotel, the Acibadem clinic, “my” caregivers, all the transfers, and last but not least, the return journey – it couldn’t have been better. I was even contacted again immediately afterward by MedicalTravel to check on my well-being – you’re never left alone for a single second, it was truly wonderful.

I can wholeheartedly recommend MedicalTravel to everyone, at least for hair transplants. There’s nothing to fear or be skeptical about, and as already mentioned, it’s completely painless.

Peter Kupper

Previous report

Next report

My hair transplant experience report – Turkey – Report from Friday, November 13, 2015 As an introduction, I would like to briefly describe how I came to the decision to have my bald spot (tonsure) corrected.
