The transfer and admission to the Acibadem Clinic the following day also went smoothly. Although I speak perfect English, a German-speaking caregiver was assigned to me from the very first day and was practically inseparable from me \u2013 perfect. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Likewise, the preparations for the successful transplantation the following day went perfectly. The procedure was originally scheduled for the third day, but the doctor wasn’t feeling well and it had to be postponed until Thursday because he felt he couldn’t take responsibility for a properly executed procedure under those circumstances \u2013 extremely professional, I might add. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
So, Thursday it was. Istanbul is huge and there are a million things to do, see, etc., so no problem. What can I say? The transplant surgery went perfectly, although it took a while, but beauty has its price, as they say. Don’t get me wrong, it was completely painless for me, totally easy, and the medical team was well-organized and did an extremely professional job.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I am already very excited about the result, although the final result can only be judged in about a year, but the doctors there already said I will be very happy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In conclusion, I can only say it was a real joy how everything went. From the departure, to the stay in Istanbul, the hotel, the Acibadem clinic, “my” caregivers, all the transfers, and last but not least, the return journey \u2013 it couldn’t have been better. I was even contacted again immediately afterward by MedicalTravel to check on my well-being \u2013 you’re never left alone for a single second, it was truly wonderful. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
