I now have eagle-like vision and am simply happy and grateful – Report from Sunday, August 1, 2010
My report on the eye surgery in Istanbul in June 2010. For a long time, I had been toying with the idea of laser vision correction. Among my acquaintances, there were several people who had successfully undergone surgery in Turkey. I did not know exactly where. One winter evening, after a glass of wine, I was browsing the internet and came across the SwissLasik eye centre. A friendly photo of Mr Karagaaçli and a telephone number encouraged me to get in touch. A pleasant, uncomplicated yet competent conversation immediately developed over the phone. From that moment on, the thought of having the operation would not let me go. Over several months, I stayed in contact with Mr Karagaaçli by email and telephone, asked all my questions, carried out my own research and ultimately decided to take this big step. During this decision-making phase, I never once felt pressured by the provider. This strengthened my trust in the company and its philosophy. I was also convinced by the independent check-up with an ophthalmologist in Switzerland, who gives his assessment without any profit motive and who also carried out four further follow-up examinations after the operation. I was then able to make the final decision with a secure and confident feeling after several contacts with customers who had already undergone surgery. In response to my request, Mr Karagaaçli sent me a list of references. My friend accompanied me to Istanbul. We planned a week’s holiday so that we had enough time to explore this wonderful city. We were warmly welcomed, received all the necessary information and stayed in a very well-kept small hotel right in the middle of a quiet pedestrian zone. As we had planned two days of holiday first, I was extremely relaxed on Monday when I went around the corner for the preliminary examinations. The strikingly relaxed and calm atmosphere suggested a well-coordinated team. The team was able to provide competent information in my language and took the time to answer my questions thoroughly and to my satisfaction. The operation itself was over so quickly and painlessly – a visit to have a wisdom tooth removed is a hundred times worse and, above all, more painful. At the follow-up examination the next day, a German woman who lives in Istanbul with her husband told me that she had visited several laser centres, but none had convinced her as quickly as SwissLasik. The personal care on a small scale convinced her, while the mass processing offered by other centres put her off. I can only agree with that. I chose the right service and can recommend it at any time. Many thanks for everything. R. Senn. I now see as sharply as an eagle and am simply happy and grateful.
