Swisslasik experience report – Report from Tuesday, February 5, 2013
The Decision:
“I had been considering eye laser surgery for some time. Since I could hardly see without my glasses and could no longer wear contact lenses due to an eye infection, my desire to see without glasses grew stronger. Glasses had become very bothersome, and I thought to myself, I had nothing to lose—my vision was already poor, so it could only improve. I came across Swisslasik through two colleagues who had already undergone laser eye surgery themselves. At the same time, I did some research online. My colleagues’ reports were very positive, and both of them were very satisfied with the results and would do it again. This naturally gave me confidence, so I got the necessary documents, had a pre-examination in Switzerland, which confirmed that I was suitable for the laser procedure, and decided to go ahead with Swisslasik. The price was, of course, a decisive factor for me as well. I am more than satisfied with the cost-performance ratio.
I am very impressed and satisfied with the professional, quick, and well-organised service of Swisslasik—within a few days, my entire laser trip was arranged. The personal, phone contact was also very positive. I could rely on the company from the very beginning. I would also like to mention positively that I was well taken care of throughout the entire three-day trip. It was very reassuring to always have someone by my side who translated everything and provided some support. I travelled alone for these three days and must say that Swisslasik is well set up for handling this solo. The organisation of flights, hotel, etc., went smoothly. The only issue was a misunderstanding regarding the transport to the hotel upon my arrival. I took a taxi, but the clinic refunded me the money the next day.
The clinic made a very good, modern, and professional impression on me. The doctors know what they’re doing, and I felt very well looked after. They really care, and I was in good hands. I was also very pleased to have a German-speaking person assigned to assist me. The doctors also appeared very professional.
Before the surgery, I had a very odd feeling. It’s not just any procedure; it’s an eye surgery. I was very nervous. The procedure itself went by very quickly, and I was visibly relieved as I waited with my protective glasses in the recovery room for my first check-up. Honestly, I was a bit sceptical at first.
The first few hours after the surgery, my eyes watered a lot, and I hoped that would subside soon. A few hours later, however, I could already see the success—for real. Before the procedure, I was essentially blind and could only see a few centimetres ahead. Now, I could see everything clearly without glasses. Amazing, I’m thrilled with the result.”
